Dovea

Terms of Use

Last updated 25 October 2026 · The German version prevails.

These terms apply to your use of the Dovea app for Android and iPhone. By using the app you agree to them.

1. Provider

TONYC, Jake Benner. Address and contact in the imprint, email support@tonyc.link.

2. What Dovea is

Dovea is an app for couples: moods, shared finances, household, cycle, calendar and more. You can use it alone or connect with your partner through a code; you then both see the entries you share. Dovea is free with limits, and Premium removes those limits and unlocks every feature. Which data lives where is described in the privacy policy.

3. Premium

4. Licence

You may use the app for private purposes on your devices. This right is not transferable. You may not sell, rent or pass on the app, reverse engineer or decompile it (unless the law expressly allows this), remove proprietary notices, or misuse the app and its servers, for example through automated mass access.

5. Your content

What you enter belongs to you. You are responsible for what you share with your partner, photos in particular. Do not share anything that breaks the law or the rights of others. I do not look at your content; encrypted entries cannot technically be read by me.

6. Not a medical device

The cycle tracker is for your personal documentation only. It is not a medical device and not suitable for contraception or family planning. Predictions are based on averages and may differ from your actual cycle. Information in the app does not replace medical or therapeutic advice.

7. Availability and your data

Dovea stores your entries on your device first and also works offline. Syncing with your partner needs an internet connection and servers whose constant availability I cannot guarantee. I may change features where security, law or further development require it; paid Premium features are not removed without an equivalent replacement. Encrypted intimate entries cannot be recovered without the key on your device – if the device is lost without an account, they are gone.

8. Liability

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence I am liable only for breach of an essential obligation on whose fulfilment you may rely, and then limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability is excluded. For free features the milder statutory liability for services provided free of charge applies in addition.

9. Deleting your account

You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account in the app under Settings → Account & partnership, or request deletion by email. You cancel a running subscription separately in the store. If someone seriously breaches these terms, I may block their access to sync.

10. Changes

If these terms change materially, I will announce it in the app beforehand. Unless you object, the new terms apply from the date given; the announcement points out this right and its consequences.

11. Law and dispute resolution

German law applies. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country remain unaffected. I am neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

12. App Store

If you obtained Dovea from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies; these terms add to it. Apple is not responsible for maintenance or support of the app; I am.
